this website first please read on.
Who are
Groundwork?
We are an independent social, environmental and economic
regeneration charity. We work with partners from the local
community, local authorities, business and government, on
projects that seek to engage local people and motivate
them to improve the quality of their life by using and
improving the local environment. If you would like to find
out more about what we do and where we do it, please click
on the ‘Groundwork’ tab at the top of the page which will
take you to our main website.
What is this website about?
This website has been created as part of a project that
seeks to help us gain a better understanding of what
people really think about urban forestry in and around
their neighbourhoods. The main part of the website is an
interactive questionnaire, which allows you to fill in
information about your own thoughts feelings and
experiences related to urban forestry.
Not sure what Urban Forestry is?
Don’t worry! Loosely translated Urban Forestry is the
planning, planting and maintenance of every tree you could
encounter in a built up environment (i.e. a town or a
city). This can range from trees planted in front gardens
or along streets through to larger numbers of trees
planted as community orchards, hospital gardens, or areas
of woodland in a public open space. So really it’s just
been given a name that you might not be familiar with.
What we would like from you
We would really like you please take part in our
interactive questionnaire, NO WAIT! Honestly its
very different to the long and boring paper questionnaires
that you might have taken part in before. We have worked
really hard to put together new and interesting ways of
collecting information from you so go on give it a try we
really want your feedback!
How long does it take?
In all there are 7 steps to the interactive questionnaire
part of the website. Depending on how familiar you are
with using computers the process could take as little as 5
minutes to complete. However, if you have lots of comments
to make (and we really do want your feedback) there is no
maximum time limit. |
